Music Ministries

Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from September through May to prepare music for weekly services and holiday worship.  Repertoire ranges from Vivaldi and Handel to Mary MacDonald and Matt Redmon.

Praise Team meets year-round on Sunday mornings.  Additional rehearsals are scheduled as needed to learn new songs.  Repertoire is well-known contemporary praise songs as well as contemporary settings of traditional hymns.

Instrumentalists are invited to play for services and to collaborate with Music Ministry staff and guests musicians.  Kids of all ages are encouraged to join our new, beginner-friendly Youth Praise Band.

At First United Methodist Church, music is an essential part of our worship, witness, and fellowship as Christians.   In our services, we sing the beloved hymns that have endured through generations, as well as popular contemporary songs of the faith.  We love it all!

Participation in our Music Ministry is a wonderful way to serve the Lord and His Church.  Music Ministry is open to everyone, no exceptions.  All that is needed is a commitment to offer your voice to the Lord to the best of your ability.   All are welcome to join the Choir, the Praise Team, or both.
