Welcome to Dade City First United Methodist Church Music Ministries. We hope that as you explore your faith, and recognize the talents God has blessed you with, that you will find yourself called to our Music Ministry. There are choirs for every age and level of music knowledge; voice or instrument. Dig deep and see if one of our choirs is the right fit for you and your family.

Chancel CHoir
The Chancel Choir is a dedicated group of adults who sing weekly in worship services from September through May. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8. This ministry is known for their support of each other and church members, all while having fun!! Though the group primarily consists of adults, tweens and teens are welcome to join them as well. This is a unique way to have family time while raising praises to our Lord. If you are unable to share your talents for the year, join the choir for a day, month or season. That’s right, even a day – listen for announcements about “join the choir for a day” opportunities. We hope to see you soon!
Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir is an uplifting group of ringers who participate in worship one time each month. This awesome choir comes together to rehearse on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm during the months of September through May. No experience is necessary to join the handbell choir and it is open to tweens, teens and all adults. We are a merry group of ringers who like to share their talents and music in worship one time each month. Join us for a season or the year.
Praise Team
The Praise Team is an exuberant group of musicians who share their musical gifts through singing and playing instruments. The group is open to members from elementary students through adults. We participate during weekly Sunday Contemporary Worship Services at 9am, while rehearsals are Sundays 4:30-5:30pm. Join us for a Sunday, season or the year. We would love to see your talents bloom and grow in our unique music experience.

Little Lambs
Infant and Toddler Choir
The Little Lambs are one of Dade City First United Methodist Church’s newest choirs. They rehearse on the first and third Sunday of each month during the Children’s Church time of the 11am worship service. Our Little Lambs love to share some of their music during worship services. Bring your lambs to our rehearsal for a fun time while learning to sing praises for our God.
Rejoicing Ringers and Singers
3rd - 5th Grade Vocal and Handbell Choir
The Rejoicing Ringers and Singers welcome all 3rd through 5th grade students to join our choir. We gather together on Sunday evenings beginning at 5:30 in the Christian Life Center Lounge to share a meal before heading to the Choir Room to rehearse from 6-7:30. We will spend the evening playing music games, singing our praises and learning to ring handbells and handchimes. Most importantly we have TONS of FUN! We also like to share what we are learning one time each month during worship services. Students do not need to have prior music experiences, come as you are and discover the talents we all share together.
Melody Makers
PreK - 2nd Grade Vocal Choir
The Melody Makers are a wonderful group of Pre-K through 2nd grade students. We have an exciting time together on Wednesday evenings beginning at 4:45 until 5:30. Then we join our church members for our Wednesday night dinner. The Melody Makers meet in the music room to learn music skills and how to use them when they sing praises. This group also enjoys sharing their new music in worship one time each month. Come join us for laughter and learning.
